We are pleased to offer our members at no additional cost two online blogs for professional discussion and the sharing of SEND information and best practice. Our SEND Leadership Blog is facilitated by Deirdre Fitzpatrick (Educational Consultant) and tackles all current issues across the special school sector – including Covid 19. Our SEMH Blog is facilitated by the Mulberry Bush Organisation, an SEMH Teaching School based in Oxfordshire, and brings together members of their SEMH Peer Review group with our SWALSS members.
Both of our blogs give SWALSS members the opportunity to become part of a supportive online community across the south and south west of the country. They provide members with opportunities to:
ask questions of their peers and respond to concerns raised by others
discuss current special school and wider SEND matters
exchange documentation, policies, resources and best practice
access signposting to sources of support and guidance
shape a collective response to regional and national developments
